
Food Preparation
Thawing the meat:
- We recommend that you do not thaw your meat in the microwave
- Thaw meats in your refrigerator inside the vacuum packaging
to preserve freshness and moisture
- Briskets usually take 24 hours in the refrigerator
- Sausage usually takes 12 hours in the refrigerator
- Do not break seals until you are ready for heating
Heating:
- Pre-heat the oven to 250 degrees, higher heat will cause drying
- You do not want to over heat your Sonny Bryan's product.
Brisket:
- Remove from sealed package and fully wrap in foil, place brisket
on a heating pan and place in oven for 45 minutes to 2 hours
or until it reaches 150 degrees
- You should check the temperature after 45 minutes and then progress
in small increments
Sausage:
- Remove from sealed package and fully wrap in foil
- Place sausage on heating pan and place in oven for 20-25
minutes or until it reaches 150 degrees
Sauce:
- You may boil your bag of sauce for 10-20 minutes or you
can empty the contents of the bag into a pan and reheat over
low heat on the stove until the desired temperature is reached.
Serving directions:
Brisket: Place meat on a cutting board. You need to slice against
the grain in order to keep the meat in whole slices. Cut the
brisket into 1/4 inch slices. Serve with Sonny Bryan's World
Famous BBQ Sauce.
Sausage: Slice at an angle in order to create oval shaped pieces.
Serve with Sonny Bryan's World Famous BBQ Sauce.
